The Bamfield Volunteer Fire Department is made up of over twenty volunteers operating with support from the ACRD Emergency Services Program. The BVFD operates two stations in Bamfield: Fire Station 1 - located on 368 Pachena Road (Built in 2007) and Fire Station 2 located on the West Side of Bamfield. Additionally, the BVFD operate a 26' Landing Craft Rescue Boat for shoreline and water conflagrations.

The BVFD Benevolent Society is responsible for the popular fundraising events which support the BVFD.

The Bamfield Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Team also operate in close concert with the BVFD sharing resources, space and training.
