ACRD Financial Plan - 2025 to 2029 (Draft)

The Draft 2025-2029 Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD) Financial Plan was presented to the Committee of the Whole on February 12, 2025. The ACRD is a growing organization that continues to increase the service levels of the many functions it provides as well as explores new services. The service level changes have been a result of regulation or legislation changes as well as the Board’s 2024-2027 Strategic Plan. The 2024 total budget is approximately $31.4 million dollars, similar to that of the prior year and includes a 7.45% taxation increase. 2.08% of this increase relates to the increased service levels in both the Alberni Valley Custom Transit and the West Coast Conventional Transit services. In addition to this increase, the ACRD has been very successful in securing grant funding to support our services. In 2024 the ACRD received approximately $4 million in grant fundings and secured the commitment of many more grants. In 2025 the ACRD anticipates receiving $8 million dollars in grant funding for both operational and infrastructure projects
